Verification is free: we retrieve the dispute with your restricted key and show you its amount, reason, and deadline so you can confirm we found the right one. You pay only after that.

About your Stripe key

Create a restricted key in Stripe under Developers → API keys with read access to Charges, Customers, Invoices, and Payment Intents, and read/write on Disputes. DisputeKit uses it to retrieve your dispute context and — only when you click "stage" on the review page — to write the drafted evidence to the dispute. The key is never stored; it lives only for the request you triggered. Delete the key from Stripe any time after.
